Kalindi offers a volcanic experience in two of its rooms – Earth and Fire – thanks to what is known as grounding or earthing. The double beds in these rooms are positioned directly above volcanic floor, delivering those that sleep here specific health benefits related to electromagnetic charge, better rest and a sounder sleep.

Yoga & Morning Exercises

Kalindi’s founders are yoga practitioners and share free morning classes with guests. From 7:45 to 8:30 sessions take place in Kalindi’s yoga studio with a routine made up of different asanas, pranayama exercises and Chi-Kung stretches. Kalindi is open to all styles and practices and also offers private classes to our guests wishing to learn or practice the following disciplines: Hata, Kundalina, Nidra, Yin, Ashtanga or Acroyoga, Chi-Kung or Tai-Chi, Fitness, Dance and Music Therapy etc.

Taking care of yourself on the inside is just as important as it is on the outside. With this in mind, Kalindi offers free healthy cooking sessions with both the theory, practical and nutritional advice for sustainable cooking and eating. Some of the recipes we make include: organic vegetables, sprouts, gluten-free bread and energy smoothies etc. Equally Kalindi offers an a la carte breakfast from €8, giving you a choice of: sweet (toast with goat cheese and fig or a five cereal muesli with dried fruit) or savoury (tuna crepes with sesami tahini, omelette fajitas with ham), tea, coffee, natural juices or fruit smoothies.

Meditation & Contemplation

Kalindi’s guests can sign up for free sessions of this ancient Eastern practice. The benefits of meditation are now well proven and amply demonstrated across many types of disciplines. At Kalindi we are not followers of any one method, instead incorporating all of the following: vipassana, mindfulness, zen, mantras, etc. Daily guided practice is from 6:00 to 7:45 a.m. but can also be practiced at sunset. Silent walks are also offered in the evenings in Kalindi’s surrounding natural beauty.
